Our last meeting was Oct. 17th. We would like to have a follow up meeting on Nov. 15th (Thursday - Next Week!) so we can keep the momentum going.
I think we have 5-6 interested people, which is good, but like Mike said, we need to reach critical mass before we can actually elect a president and have "formal" Rotaract club meetings. Until then, Mike and I will try to set up the get-togethers and move things forward.
As far as what we need to decide:
1. Where and when to meet
2. What do we want to accomplish at the next meeting?
3. Pick someone to lead the group into a Rotaract club?
Here are some thoughts I have:
1. I think everyone said 6:30 PM was a good time to meet. As far as a meeting place, some of my ideas are:
- Compadres (in the back/or on the lanai)
- Indigos in the back (can seat 10-12 people)
- Bradley Pacific. Bradley Pacific is a company located near the airport that handles fueling of all jets that come in/out of Hawaii. The club president is also president of Bradley Pacific, so he has graciously said we can meet there. We can get a tour of all the private jets used by celebs, see the VIP lounge for small aircraft, etc...
- Anywhere else you may want to meet? Mike and I can try to other locations through our Rotary club.
2. Maybe discuss some potential service projects and see what kind of projects everyone is interested in.

I just grabbed a cup of coffee at Lion's coffee in Kalihi and saw they had a place just outside the retail store but under cover of the warehouse that might be a good venue for a meeting. There was lots of parking and there were lots of young people mulling around but not many sitting in that little area (seats about 30). I don't know what their hours are.
