3rd meeting for Honolulu Downtown Rotaract Club - Bar 35, Wed Jan 16 08 530-730
3rd meeting, Wed 530 to 730pm Bar 35 in the back.
CALL IF YOU GET LOST.
What is Rotary? What is Rotaract? What do we do? If we didn't explain it well the first time or missed it, round 3!
WE are between 20+ young working professionals who care about giving back to the community in the form of money, hands, and education. We focus on environment, homeless, women/children, education issues and more.
We will be planning our next social, community service, guest speaker, etc.
Bring a friend or a stranger off the street.
We are here to network, make new friends, enjoy life, serve the community, improve our career, and meet mentors.
If you can we have a few fliers we're making and would love for you to hand out.

Membership, who do you want in the club
Rotary is by invitation only. so our rotary club becomes friends and friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends all with a community service goal in mind (however nebulous that goal may be). I think this is true of all good clubs. Invite your friends who share in that sense of responsibility to help your fellow man.

Global Children's Organization
Originally founded as a children's camp in war torn Bosnia, the Global Children's Organization has evolved into a 2 week camp promoting peace between children from many different countries where racial hatred is prevalent.
Metro Rotary has been a long time supporter of the group and continues to aid in any way that we can. One of the more interesting ways we can be involved is by sending team leaders and counselors to the camp. They are looking for young adults who are interested in helping teens from learn to accept each other and promote peace in their home countries. They believe that Rotaract is an incredibly good resource for team leaders and counselors.
Any interest?
